If industry gossip is to be believed, Bollywood actress and spicy music sensation Poonam Jhawer will be the first Bollywood actress to do a Playboy centrespread. Poonam is expected to done her 'birthday suit' for the photo session, say sources. However, neither Poonam nor Playboy Inc sources were willing to comment on the news. However, a co-ordinator close to Poonam confirmed this news saying that her associates were negotiating with an international photographer known to be working with Playboy.

When contacted Playboy Inc sources said that somebody was talking to them about an Indian actress doing a centrespread, however, they were unable to confirm any details whatsoever and claimed that nothing has been finalised. A Playboy spokesperson only said, "We talk to hundreds of beautiful women everyday who would like to grace our covers. We are not sure if the concerned actress is doing a centrespread for us. We cannot confirm anything."

However, when contacted one of Poonam's friends said, "Why not? It's an honour to be contacted by Playboy and whether she finally does the shoot or not, it's definitely worth giving a try."

Poonam is now working on several new projects including a talent search and promotion project which is "under wraps" for now.

She recently won the Best Playback Female Singer Vijay Award for song Pesugiren. She successfully hosted No.1 Music TV Show "SaReGaMaPa Hungama" on Zee Music. She is regularly giving Live performances in different cities across the country and abroad. And has sung numerous jingles. She got her first break by winning Channel V Popstar contest. Which led to formation of band VIVA! After releasing two successful albums, the band broke in Dec. 2004.

About Neha Bhasin -
Neha Bhasin was born on 18Nov. to Mr.Ashok Bhasin and Mrs.Rekha Bhasin. Her dreams started shaping up when she was in Frank Anthony Public School, Delhi. She says,“Yeah I was nine years old. I was in class fourth. I remember my teacher Mr.Dais. He was really nice. He actually brought this singer in me. He told me like you can sing and everything. And he put me like for solo parts and choir. So that’s my first time. I sung 'Black or white'. I did you know like little parts on my own on stage. So I don’t know ever since than I knew I want to be like Michael Jackson. I want to be famous. I want to be there like."

NB than started practicing and competiting in every contest she could. And what helped her in this endeavour was her family. Everyone in her family has passion for music. Specially her mother. She is a Classical Singer.

In their first public concert in Delhi, VIVA! attracted more than 60,000 people. And there act started exactly the way NB used to dream. She says,"I use to imagine myself, actually I use to put on Mariah Carey and close my eyes and I use to imagine myself in black gown, on stage, looking sweet, singing."

VIVA had also recorded three songs for hindi films. One with A.R.Rehmann Rozana for film Lakeer, one with Anand-Milind Din hamara hai for "Rakht"and one with Anu Malik Chillake Chillake for Chehra.

NB very soon started singing playbacks and performing Live with her dancers in different cities around the world. And she has also done numerous jingles like Maggie,Savlon,Compaq,Bru etc.

NB then wrote and sang the title track "Yeh zindagi bhi" for the film Bullet Ek Dhamaka. She also wrote a ghazal "Aahat sunni maine" for this film.

In 2005 NB wrote and composed “Plea to the Lord” and did numerous shows across the country for the Tsunami victims. She performed it for the first time at Mumbai Marathon. Which had the audience of more than 25,000, including Mumbai celebrities.

NB has recorded songs for "Mummyji"(Jashn Di Raat, Kudiye Pataka, I wanna rock like mummyji),Fashion, Hari Puttar, Aadesh - Beyond Boundaries Apna Bana Le(Om Shanti Om and Namate Salaam). In tamil Sathum podhathay(Pesugiren Pesugiren), Billa(Sei Yethavadhu), Yogi. Sei and Pesugiren both have become Chartbusters in South India.

NB has appeared on numerous TV shows. Lounge(Ndtv Goodtimes),Salaam Zindagi (Ndtv), RKB Show (Sahara), Santabanta Unlimted,Page 3,Popcorn(Zoom), After Hrs(Zee Cafe), Antakshri(Star One), Bha Bau Aur Cricket(Star New) Times Now, Filmy and many more.

NB has also hosted TV Show "SaReGaMaPa Hungama" on Zee Music. Which reached the No.1 spot in popularity ratings across all Music Channels while NB was hosting the show. She says, "It feels great to be part of NO.1 Show. When I came on board as the Anchor I came with the mindset that we have to do well, but now after seeing that all our hardwork is producing such great results, we feel inspired to rock even more."

On May 3rd 2008, in Chennai, "2nd Reliance Mobile Vijay Awards" were held to honor the Tamil Cinema's best work for 2007. NB won the Best Singer female Award for her song "Pesugiren Pesugiren (Sathum podhathay).Which was composed by Yuvan Shanker Raja. Neha says, "I have won prizes in school and college but yes, this is my first professional ‘award’. When my name was announced, I was delighted, to say the least, since I had never imagined that the song would make such an impact, more so since it is my first Tamil release.” NB has now formed her own Live musicians group and soon she will releasing her Solo Album.

With branded entertainment becoming the flavour of Bollywood, brand associations are on the rise. After successfully marketing Rang De Basanti, UTV Motion Pictures has roped in Reebok for a marketing tie-up for its soccer-based movie Goal.

Unlike the regular brand association agreement, this marketing tie-up will have the brand’s active involvement in the look and feel of the movie. The apparel brand will manage the entire wardrobe, including footwear, apparel, sports kit and shades, of the two main actors John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the movie. The in-film brand placement will also give Reebok a platform for its new line to be launched in August.

Reebok will be the apparel brand partner of the teams that will be shown playing in the movie. the teams in the movie will include Southall and Bradford. Even the football kits and the footballs will be branded by Reebok.

“We have done a strategic partnership with Reebok where the brand is actively involved in designing, not just costume but also the look of the film. Additionally, the characters will be based on the brand philosophy of the apparel brand,” says Siddharth Roy Kapur, veep-marketing, UTV Motion Pictures.

The sport apparel major will also plan the market and media campaign with UTV. So, besides promoting the movie with a media campaign, Reebok would also promote its association with the movie. Sources said the footwear company will spend about Rs 2-3 crore on marketing the movie. UTV will also use Reebok’s retail touch points to advertise the movie.

“We have a strong association with soccer and Goal’s central theme is soccer. Hence, we decided to be the official footwear and apparel provider for the characters,” says Sajid Shamim, director-marketing, Reebok India.

UTV on its part is working on its own set of merchandise to be launched along with the film. And now that its gaming plans are in place, the movie production house is also working on developing a game on Goal.

The budget of the movie is estimated to be over Rs 20 crore. It is being touted as the most important project for UTV in 2007. The movie production house has plans to produce another sports movie, Hat Trick, based on cricket, which is also expected to be launched in 2007.
